Developing a site with PayPal support !

I work as both a Web Master and Web Designer and I am developing a site programmation in Asp to be used with Paypal Refunding system . Does anybody have an experience in programming for business sites with PayPal support that coud give me any help ? I'm having trouble to figure out what exactly I should do in order to estabilish the connection between my asp resource and the PayPal system . Can I do it independently an simply link it to PayPal in the end or should I mix the Asp code with their parameters ? I would deeply appreciate any help concerning this matter !

I've never used their refund system, but I have developed a site using paypal. I just passed the informtaion to them in a form. It actually wasn't hard at all. The one gripe I had about using paypal was that there wasn't a way to test it without actually spending some money! BUT I think there are some third party testing solutions out there.
