I have only been designing websites for six months and this is the first time I've really tried something I would consider complicated! I posted video on my webpage using RealPlayer and it works... the quality though is absolutely horrible! I have no idea what I am doing. I designed this video in Pinnacle Studios and it always me to save it as an MPEG for RealPlayer or Windows as far as I can tell. The file is 68.6MB ... its a minute and 30 second teaser video. you can find it on my website at www.omahatease.com go in and click the bachelors page on the menu bar. anyone have any suggestions?

68 MB....gosh that's so VERY much a big file that there are SURE to be dropped frames and lagging sound in same....

and yes, I hear you when you say that you've seen great video from say Adobe.com that was like 100 mb....sure...they have the server strength to play same...and with a broadband conn....videos can play fine...

but it's your server, plus the conn speed, plus the codecs that mean success or not....I'd suggest you do a google on "putting video on a website" and read much of the data you find....

68 MB....man that's like WAY too big unless you run your own servers and you have built them to do the job....

Jim

PS this is an ADULT site....

PPS it took 126 seconds for the video in WMP to load enough to stream and I'm on a 10MB commercial cableModem....sheesh...that's slow...

Yes...PLEASE label these sites "NWS" or "Not Work Safe". I could have really gotten hit hard on this one but luckily, for whatever reason, it wasn't picked up.

Actually, I didn't see the site b/c our SurfControl blocked all the graphics and everything out, but I assume it should have been labled like that.
