Constructive critisism.

Have you ever done graphic design? I think you need to check out some of the foundations of graphic design. You can then build on this with some of the common 'rules' of web design.

Reason I say this is that I think you have talent for writing code, but I get the impression that you design with the mouse in one hand. This is where you design at the same time as you code.

Real design starts without involving the computer. This allows you to forget any constraints and concentrate on exactly what is needed to fulfil the objectives of the client. The shape, color, texture, navigtion method etc.

You then sit down and write the code when the design is complete.

This short list of examples contains sites all designed by one person - although you wouldn't know it, because the sites do not reflect their style, they reflect a graphic design based on client needs and follow basic rules about navigation, accessibility and usability.
